We are City of London Sea Cadets, based onboard HMS Belfast since 1973! Our ships’ company consists of Junior Cadets aged 10-12 and senior cadets aged 12-18 who follow a program of learning inspired by the customs and traditions of the Royal Navy.

We meet twice a week, and in the summer months spend every Tuesday at the Royal Docks where the cadets row, sail, paddle and powerboat. Our cadets learn many life skills including leadership and first aid, and can also complete their Duke of Edinburgh Awards and gain nationally recognised qualifications with us creating young adults who succeed in life.

We currently have a waiting list for Juniors and Seniors but please do register your interest if you have a child who wants to join! Every Sea Cadet unit is a charity so we are always looking for donations to enable us to maintain the unit and fund our cadets going on amazing courses and adventures- if you would like to make a donation please contact us!

How you can help

Volunteering Time

The unit is run exclusively by volunteer and we are always keen to hear from anyone who feels they may wish to contribute their time to assist with City of London Sea Cadets. No prior experience is necessary and there are many volunteering roles that suit a range of commitment levels.

Corporate involvement

All Sea Cadet Units are charities; Therefore, we rely heavily on donations. Much of the funding for the Sea Cadets, is from corporate sponsors and charitable donors. If you feel you wish to contribute, do not hesitate to get in touch.

Minibus Parking

We are currently looking for a safe and secure place to keep the unit minibus and trailer; we would be grateful to hear any ideas/ suggestions. Please get in touch should you know of anything matching this description that may be available for us to loan. It would be a real help.

Any offers of assistance please email cityoflondonscc@gmail.com
