London Bridge, a Responsible Business District?

In light of international (UN’s Sustainable Development Goals) and national (Business in the Community) frameworks and a desire from businesses to deliver social and environmental value in partnership, we think now is the time to ‘think global, act local’. This rich and diverse business district in London Bridge could do just that, and perhaps achieve even more together.

Team London Bridge has commissioned an independent researchers, Rocket Science, to conduct a consultation with London Bridge businesses and external stakeholders to support our development of a new Responsible Business Plan for the area.

We are looking to hear your views on topics such as what responsible business means to you, how you would like to be supported to enhance or implement your responsible business/ CSR initiatives, and how you see the future of responsible business in London Bridge.

You are invited to take part in this brief online survey and express your views on Responsible Business. Deadline 9th December.

Team London Bridge's Responsible Business programme is one of the BID's original service areas and has evolved extensively over the last few years. At a quick glance, we are currently supporting local businesses to build social value credentials by:

  • Directly investing in the local community through our grants schemes

  • Developing personal and organisational opportunities for volunteering and other ways of giving back

  • Themed events and forums throughout the year and access to resources through carefully considered partnerships

  • Enhancing wellbeing of staff via events, local facilities and environmental impacts

  • Improving access to employment in the London Bridge area for local people
