Disability Sports Club inspires local businesses at our latest Lunch & Learn

On March 7th we were delighted to host a lunch-and-learn event with our partners Disability Sports Coach at Shangri-La The Shard, London's Bar 31, to help raise awareness of the fantastic work DSC does with young people.

Disability Sports Club are current recipients of our Building Bridges fund - one of two key charity partners that we support over three years to develop their long-term financial sustainability and directly engage with our business community.

With a mission is to create the opportunities disabled people need to get physically active, the organisation provides sport coaching, health and safety training, school sports, teacher mentoring and courses across the city. So far they have reached over 21,000 disabled people and their families through the power of inclusive sport and physical activity.

London Bridge businesses gathered at Bar 31 to hear personal perspectives from inspiring individuals like Alex (pictured below) who have overcome barriers to sport. As a young person with autism and current sports coach, Alex shared his advice; ‘'Believe in yourself; you can do anything. And know that we're here at Disability Sports Coach to support you all the way.'
