Levy and Funding
Team London Bridge operates as a Business Improvement District (BID), funded primarily through a mandatory levy on businesses within its designated area. As of the 2024-2025 fiscal year, businesses with a rateable value of £20,000 or more are required to contribute 0.96% of their rateable value as the BID levy.
This levy is collected by Southwark Council and is used to finance services aimed at enhancing the local business environment. In the 2024/25 period, the BID’s total income was £1,431,000 which included £1,361,000 from the levy and £70,000 from other sources. These funds support projects and services in areas such as safety and resilience, arts and events, environmental improvements, and place promotion, all designed to benefit the London Bridge business community.
