London Dances the Nelken Line
Those who attended the launch of the London Bridge Culture Strategy in March will be thrilled to see our new film, the London version of the NELKEN-Line; an early example of the culture programme to follow. Watch out for familiar sights as the dancers weave their way through our area - Ellie Beedham, Director of Arts.
The venture forms part of a global project created in partnership with the Pina Bausch Foundation, London Bridge City, Potters Fields Management Trust, Network Rail, King’s College (Guy’s Campus) and Southwark Council.
Workshops, public classes and dance rehearsals were held at London Bridge Hive and on the riverside by the Mayor’s Office during April. We worked with world renowned dance artist Dickson Mbi who led the project alongside TLB Director of Arts, Ellie Beedham.
