Over this past year we have all been spending a lot more time than normal in front of screens - this workshop will help you to still feel energised and comfortable even when sitting in one place for long periods.
Targeted at people who are not only interested in improving their sitting posture but for those who are keen to find out how to become more “at ease” in all aspects of life.
Ruth Davis will be running an interactive on-line workshop exploring how the way we think and move directly impacts our feeling of freedom and comfort. She has over 20 years experience as an Alexander Movement Educator, working with groups and individuals in both the corporate sector and her own private practice.
By employing the ideas of the Alexander Awareness in Movement principles we can:
Maintain and improve health;
Alleviate workplace stress and strain;
Optimise performance in the arts and in physical activity;
Assist self-cultivation and awareness practices;
Ease the demands of pregnancy and childbirth.
If you would like to benefit from the guided semi-supine process at the end of the session please have a comfortable space where you can lie down and have a book to place under your head nearby. This process can be done from your chair too.
