Join illustrator and artist Cherish York for a relaxed hour exploring illustration and the creation of your own GIFS.

Cherish will introduce you to illustrations to inspire you to draw and encourage you to create a series of responses to some simple exercises resulting in the creation of a GIF. Suitable for everyone!

To join in with the making, the following materials are suggested (but you will be able to adapt the exercises to use what you have):

Very useful:

Pencil, rubber, biro/rollerball pens, paper.  3 or 4 simple still life objects (e.g. some apples or other fruit/veg, a mug, a can, a bottle, a small plant) – or you can work from a photo of still life objects if you prefer.

Cherish York is a London based artist.  Her influences of comics and illustrations are from manga and historical romance novels and the slice of life genre. She has a webcomic webcomic called Aunt Rebecca's Triplet Sons which feature these influences with comedy.

When she isn't making comics or illustrations, she is either studying Japanese, reading manga or trying to find a new recipe to cook.
