Southwark Rebel Women! Marking International Women's Day

southwark rebel women.png

Southwark Rebel Women is a new song written by The Dragon Cafe Singers for International Women's Day 2021. The song celebrates remarkable women who have lived and worked in Southwark, and made a difference.

It was written and recorded remotely, during lockdown, by The Dragon Cafe Singers, with support from Southwark Council Neighbourhoods Fund.

The Dragon Cafe is the flagship project of Mental Fight Club, a charity based in Southwark, which provides exciting creative events & welcoming programmes for those affected by mental illness. It was founded by Sarah Wheeler, a mental health rights activist who lived and worked in Southwark. Hear about her work, and the legacy of other amazing women, in this special event, celebrating International Women's Day.

Come and join us for this special event, to hear their stories, and sing with us. All are welcome!
