About the trainer:
Chris Morgan worked for the South East Development Centre of the National Institute for Mental Health in England (NIMHE) from 2004 to 2009 as Programme Lead for Suicide Prevention. The work involved networking across mental health services, primary care, local authorities and the voluntary sector, and encouraging best practice in mental health promotion and suicide prevention.
Chris is Training and Development Consultant with West Kent Mind. He is a founder member of the National Training Team for Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) in England. Chris teaches the two day ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) course. He has personal experience of depression, and uses this in his training approach.
