With the first women’s health strategy launched recently in England, women’s health is starting to receive some of the urgent attention it needs and deserves.
More people are speaking up about common issues from difficult periods, to fertility, to menopause and the huge impact that they can have on a person’s life and those around them. However, we can and need to do more to normalise these conversations at home, at work and across society in general, as these experiences are far more prevalent than we often realise;
1.5 M women and girls in the UK and 176 M worldwide have endometriosis, which can cause chronic pain and infertility.
1 in 7 couples will experience difficulties conceiving.
900,000 people in the UK alone are suspected to have left the workplace due to their menopause.
Join Laura Neale and Esther Denton from leading women’s health charity Wellbeing of Women to find out what they’re doing to help women at all stages of life. Find out how you can sign up to their Menopause Workplace Pledge campaign to ensure your organisation is supporting colleagues who might be impacted by the menopause, and other ways to get involved in their work to support the women in your life and workplace.
