A relocation from Shoreditch brings Mexico City inspired Santo Remedio to the former site of Magdalen restaurant on Tooley Street.
Edson and Natalie Diaz-Fuentes have created a ‘cantina’ /‘comedor’ set up across two floors, serving regional specialities like their signature guacamole with grasshoppers, paired with artisanal tequila and mezcal cocktails.
Inspired by the taquerias, markets, homes and celebrations of Mexico, they import speciality ingredients like Pasilla and Serranos to give their dishes an authentic flavour. They also work with local producers like Gringa Dairy in Peckham who produce their artisanal Mexican cheeses.
