Bankside Open Spaces Trust’s short tour of neighbouring sites will demonstrate how the development of Marlborough Sport Garden is informed by thir previous projects and the local community. This informative walk will provide you with a great lunch time activity where you get to know your local area, discover hidden gems and learn how sustainability is at the heart of this local charity - we promise you’ll leave inspired!
We will be guided by some of the passionate BOST team and we’ll visit:
1. The Eco House – our sustainable hub built with the natural environment in mind.
2. Red Cross Garden – a restored Victorian garden showing how we transform the grey to green.
3. Crossbones Graveyard – a community garden of remembrance managed using circular economy principles.
4. Local Primary Schools – we’re dedicated to understanding the needs of local people and shaping our projects in consultation with them.
5. Marlborough Sports Garden – a future sustainable sports facility, built with and for the people of Southwark.
