Whilst we get through these final stages of lockdown, spend a creative hour with artist Gail Seres-Woolfson with playful drawing and collage around the theme of the house and built environment.
Gail will introduce you to some ideas and techniques she uses in her own collage artworks and we’ll take inspiration from a few of the great collage artists of the 20th century to make our own!
A session for adults but supervised children also welcome.
To join in with the making the following materials are suggested (but you will be able to adapt the exercises to use what you have):
Very useful: pencil and rubber, a magazine and newspaper, paper (computer paper/lined or sketchbook paper is fine, but also any black/brown/coloured paper or heavier paper is a bonus), marker pens/sharpie/felt-tips/coloured pencils, scissors, pritt/glue/tape
Added extras: any paints you have, a ruler, images of houses/buildings (could be where you live!) either on your phone or printed out, tipex pen, any scraps of patterned paper (these could include wrappers/labels etc)
