Spend a creative hour with artist Gail Seres-Woolfson with playful drawing and collage around the theme of chance and the accidental!
Gail will introduce you to some ideas and techniques she uses in her own collage artworks and we’ll take inspiration from pioneering artists working with chance to make our own!
A session for adults but supervised children very welcome.
To join in with the making the following materials are suggested (but you will be able to adapt the exercises to use what you have):
Very useful:
- any paints (acrylic / watercolour / poster paint) and brushes you have, OR instant coffee granules with a cup of warm water and two saucers (or small containers) which we can use like paint!
-a magazine and newspaper, paper (computer paper/lined is fine, but heavier sketchbook paper is a bonus), marker pens/sharpie/fine-liners, felt-tips/coloured pencils, scissors, pritt/glue/tape
Added extras: a ruler, any scraps of patterned paper, string, bits of sponge, a cork, bits of packaging cardboard, a chopstick, a plastic fork. Also a few raspberries and blueberries can provide additional colour if you’re using alternatives to paint!
