Two local charities raise over £1500 with help from London Bridge businesses
With help from local businesses, KickOff@3 and Downside Fisher Youth Club raised over £1500 through their raffle events this month.
Earlier this year, the two local charities approached Team London Bridge to connect them with businesses who might be able to offer a sought-after prize to get the generosity flowing!
London Bridge businesses rose to the occasion, with donations ranging from family tickets to attractions, to complimentary dinners and experiences. Employees of Shangri-La at The Shard also took time out to volunteer at one of the events.
Thank you to Old Operating Theatre Museum & Herb Garrett, Tower Bridge Exhibition, The View From The Shard, Duddell’s, Shangri-La Hotel at the Shard, DW Fitness First and Hawksmoor Borough for their generous contributions.
“The Camden Society Charity and Police Cadets sold numerous raffle tickets for the prizes kindly donated. Thank you for believing in Kickoff@3 and our ethos to help others locally, whilst giving back in a fun and positive community environment. […] The Police were also seen in a different light, of human beings as a Father/ Mother, brother, Sister or a family member that understands young people, where there is a need to empower them whilst changing the narrative.”
PC Michael Wallace, Kickoff@3. Their event took place on 3rd May 2019.
“Overall the donations raised about £900 on Wednesday night and we are hugely grateful.”
Stephen King, Downside Fisher Youth Club. Their event took place on 1st May 2019.
