Abandoned Bikes Clean-Up Supports Refugees in Need

This month, we've partnered with Southwark Council, Network Rail, and Kings College London for a purpose-driven spring-cleaning initiative, tagging and removing 50 disused bikes (with more to come) left on their racks.

These bikes, once confirmed as unclaimed, will be repaired and through The Bike Project - a charity dedicated to repairing bikes and providing them to refugees in need - where they’ll either find new homes, or be sold to raise funds.

“The refurbished bikes that come out of them really do bring such joy, independence, a feeling of community and good health to refugees and people seeking asylum. We've supported over 12,000 refugees since we first started through the powerful tool of a bike, and that is thanks to people and communities like yours.”
- Ryshel Patel - The Bike Project

Team London Bridge will arrange 3 collection dates in the near future. If you’d like to participate in these clean-up, please get in touch with tom@teamlondonbridge.co.uk
