Tesco Supports Local Projects and Schools in Our Community
Tesco’s Stronger Starts scheme is making a real difference, backing thousands of community projects and good causes across the UK.
Open to schools, registered charities, and not-for-profit organisations, the initiative prioritises projects that focus on providing food and support to young people.
Right now, the Tesco branch on Tooley St is proudly backing three amazing local initiatives:
Snowsfields Primary – Play Learn and Grow
By providing much-needed playtime equipment, Snowsfields Primary is helping children develop vital physical and social skills, especially for those who don’t have access to these resources at home.Edible Rotherhithe – Surrey Square Salad Clubs
These fun clubs teach students how to make healthy, delicious salads with ingredients grown in their very own outdoor poly-tunnel. A great way to promote healthy eating habits!Southwark Jaguars Girls Football Club – Help Kit Our Kids
As the club grows, they’re raising funds to provide more football kits for their teams, making sure the costs are kept low for parents and every child can join in the fun.
Next time you pop in for a sandwich or snack, be sure to cast your vote for the project that means the most to you. Each of these incredible projects could receive up to £1,500, and you have until March 31st to help decide who gets the support!
