London Bridge School Visit Fund Launched
Team London Bridge has launched a School Visits Fund to increase accessibility for pupils from Southwark schools to the cultural attractions based in the London Bridge BID area and Medi-Culture District.
This new fund from Team London Bridge will help up to 25 schools visit the area this academic year, 2022/23. We know that in these challenging times schools may struggle to fund out of school visits and we recognise the importance for Southwark’s young people connecting with leading cultural attractions that can complement the educational curriculum in a creative way.
The Schools Fund is available to any Primary and Secondary publicly funded school based in Southwark. The applicant school can access the maximum amount of £200 to help with the costs of their trip.
To be eligible to apply, the school trip must include visiting one of the following venues and attractions:
· Old Operating Theatre Museum & Herb Garret
· HMS Belfast
· Unicorn Theatre
· Tower Bridge
· Science Gallery London
· Fashion and Textile Museum
· London Bridge Experience
· Florence Nightingale Museum
· The View From The Shard
The funding can be used for any aspect of the visit, including (not exclusively) travel, workshops, insurance, and entry to the venue. For more details and how to apply, click here.
