Andrew Logan's Sunshine! welcomes people to London Bridge
On Monday 3rd June, Team London Bridge launched a brand-new information service outside London Bridge Station.
In partnership with the Unicorn Theatre and Network Rail, our team will be outside the Station on Tooley Street, opposite More London Place, Tuesdays to Sundays until the end of August, and weekends through September.
To help provide a fitting welcome to London Bridge, we commissioned artist Andrew Logan to create a sculpture that will provide a new meeting and greeting point, and something that will brighten the day for commuters as they walk past.
Andrew was inspired to create Sunshine!, a glass mirrored sun that will double up as a portable Information Centre. It encapsulates his enthusiasm to make people smile and is bold, fun and shiny in true Andrew Logan style.
The front of house team from the Unicorn Theatre will be with the artwork daily throughout the summer on the pavement of Tooley Street, and will be available to help tourists, commuters and locals with directions, answer questions, offer advice on cultural experiences locally and talk about the artwork.
Sunshine! will be on Tooley Street from 10.30am - 7pm Tuesdays to Saturdays and from 11am to 6pm on Sundays throughout the summer.
