Beyond Food supporting the vulnerable in COVID-19
Act now to help Beyond Food support thousands of vulnerable people during the Coronavirus crisis.
Beyond Food are in need of £50,000 in order to sustain the incredible work of their charity through these difficult times.
As well as providing assistance through the crisis, these vital funds will ensure both Beyond Food and Brigade Bar + Kitchen can continue its work post-Coronavirus, when London will probably have many more people at risk and requiring our support.
Beyond Food’s first response to the Coronavirus crisis was to use their restaurant to feed vulnerable people and NHS paramedics in London. In just three days they were able to provide over 3,500 meals and gathered enough food for a further 2,000 meals. The demand was unprecedented and far outstripped the ability to supply.
However, in order to reduce social contact as much as possible, Beyond decided to cease producing and distributing our own meals. They are now focussing on running our COVID-19 Support Line, and using our contacts to match unused food with charities and organisations that are supporting the vulnerable across London.
