Southwark Climate Day: Free repairs, advice and inspiring talks

Southwark Council’s Climate Day is just around the corner – a chance for the borough to get together and find local solutions to the global climate emergency.

This year’s event will be in person, at London Southbank University, in Elephant and Castle, on Saturday 11 March, running from 10am-1pm.

There will be inspiring guest speakers, such as the High commissioner for Fiji to the UK – a nation that’s particularly vulnerable to the effects of climate change. As well as practical workshops to help us tackle the climate emergency together.

More details on the day's programme will follow – but you can save the date in your diary, and reserve your space to:

  • Take part in free workshops and come away with new skills.

  • Drop-in to one of our free pop-ups to get household items repaired (like headphones or clothes), or free energy efficiency advice.

  • Get your bike serviced or fixed for free from a Dr Bike mechanic.

  • Pick up new skills, ideas, and cooking recipes in our climate marketplace

  • Debate and discuss big issues with expert speakers.
