The Fashion and Textile Museum seeks advisory board members
After a phenomenal recovery from the pandemic, the Fashion and Textile Museum has established itself as one of London’s leading independent museums. We are now looking to establish an industry advisory board who can help take us to the next level.
The Museum is seeking experienced and well-connected supporters to act as a sounding board for the leadership team giving guidance and assisting with:
· Sponsorship and fundraising
· Partnership opportunities
· Future Exhibitions
We expect the Advisory Board to consist of individuals with the following experience and skills:
· Commercial approach
· Senior leadership
· Sponsorship and Fundraising activities
· Collaboration and partnerships
· Curatorial or academic understanding of Fashion and Textiles
· Understanding of governance within a heritage organisation
· Knowledge and interest in Fashion and Textiles
· Sustainability within a heritage organisation
· Audience development
· Understanding of promotion of cultural events and exhibitions
We would love to hear from individuals and organisations in the local area. If you are interested in supporting the future of the Museum, please come to an informal ‘meet the team’ on Tuesday 10 December 2024, 6-7:30pm to find out more. Please RSVP and register your interest with Melissa French, melissa.french@newham.ac.uk. If you have any questions in the meantime please do get in touch with Melissa.
