Team London Bridge has offered a subsidised waste and recycling service to our BID members for over a decade as a way of reducing operating costs, encouraging high recycling rates and consolidating collections.
We relaunched the scheme in 2019 with a new contractor, Recorra.
From 1st April 2019, any of our member businesses (whether office occupier, retailer or food & drink outlet) that choose Recorra as their waste and recycling provider will be eligible for a 50% subsidy on all recycling streams – providing a significant cost saving.
What Recorra can help with:
50% discount on recycling streams: paper, card, recycling, glass, food, coffee grounds, coffee cups and compostable packaging.
25% discount on IT recycling and confidential shredding.
Procurement advice – where to purchase sustainable and recycled office supplies, plates, coffee cups, and sustainable cleaning products.
Recycling Improvement Strategy – A free of charge floor walk to undertake a review of your waste infrastructure and a follow up Recycling Improvement Strategy report with advice on how to boost recycling.
Free Quarterly IT and UEEE (Used Electrical and Electronic Equipment) collection. For every 15 working PCs or laptops collected, Recorra donate the value of one tutoring session to the Children’s Literacy Charity.
Clearances – Recorra’s Repair and Reuse arm undertake workplace clearances to give your unwanted items a new life.
Monthly Webinars – Free monthly webinars hosted by their Sustainability Team.
E-bike waste collections – Zero emissions collections of pre-paid sacks via Recorra’s new e-bike waste collection service. Read more here.
