Disability Sports Coach
Disability Sports Coach uses the unique power of sport and physical activity to enhance the lives of disabled people.
Through our inclusive clubs, coaching sessions in schools and expert-led training, we break down barriers to sport for 5,000 disabled people each year, improving both physical and mental health.
Our Community Club in Southwark has been running since 2012, ensuring disabled residents benefit from the same opportunity to enjoy weekly sport as their non-disabled peers. We’ve previously won Best Charity at the Southwark Business Excellence Awards. We also won the Uniting London Award at the 2023 London Sports Awards, recognising how we build cohesive communities that celebrate each other's differences.
We’re proud to be led by disabled people; Over 40% of our workforce and volunteers have a disability. Through innovative partnerships, we train disabled people to become qualified sports coaches, providing exciting new employment opportunities and creating a fairer, more diverse workforce.

Pro bono services (legal, marketing, etc)
As a small charity of seven staff, we welcome support with marketing and communications to help us reach more disabled people in Southwark and across London. For example, support with paid social media advertising and Google Ads would be much appreciated.

Access to meeting rooms or larger rooms for events
While we work remotely, we occasionally require office space for team or Trustee meetings. We would welcome any offer of office space for our team members from local organisations. This could be half a day a week or more, as our team is flexible.

Fundraising
We welcome volunteers who want to fundraise for us, helping empower disabled people through sport.
We are planning on securing charity places at events such as the Big Half Marathon and Royal Parks Half. In the meantime, we welcome any volunteers who are inspired to take on their own challenge to raise money for our charity.
For any fundraising enquiries, please contact Amardeep Gill – amardeep@disabilitysportscoach.co.uk / 07495 543 105
Access to local jobs or work experience for our service users that complete our training programmes
We want to empower disabled people to feel more part of their local community. We signpost our members to local opportunities to enjoy work experience or training across a variety of industries.
