Discover the roots of modern medicine in the herb lore of monastic gardens. Meet extraordinary people and hear their stories. Explore the streets around London Bridge, and visit fascinating museums such as The Old Operating Theatre & The Florence Nightingale Museum. Singer Vivien Ellis has created a virtual tour with specially selected old local ballads to uncover the history of London Bridge. Sing along, or listen and enjoy! All welcome!

Vivien Ellis is a professional singer and community choir leader with a special interest in popular songs from the middle ages to the early 20th century. She started leading ballad walks in 2017 for Hull City of Culture, and enjoys taking participants on a journey of discovery to find the stories of our ancestors, through the songs they sang. Vivien leads the Dragon Café Singers, a community choir which until March 2020 met in Borough, and now connects online. Read more about Vivien here: vivienellis.co.uk
