Join us for a virtual session from Nick Morant, Director of Security & Community Safety at Team London Bridge, to learn about personal safety.
The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence is an annual international campaign. It commences on the 25th November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, and runs until 10th December, Human Rights Day. Throughout the 16-day period Southwark Council will be running a number of events to consider ways in which we can work together towards a future where this abuse and violence is no longer tolerated.
Nick was a police officer in Southwark for 16 years before joining Team London Bridge to lead on Security and community safety. He has been delivering Personal Safety webinars to businesses for over two years for organisations such as Ernst & Young, PWC, Prostate Cancer amongst others.
The session aims to provide helpful advice and guidance around the following themes:
Getting Home Safe, looking at how we travel safely on foot, on public transport, taxi or mini cab.
Safety Apps and Technology, looking at the available apps you can download and how to enable your smartphone to help in an emergency.
