About the artist:

Guitarist Felix James Collins has enjoyed success not only in performances across the country but also in national competitions as well. Felix is currently in the third year of his Bachelor of Music degree studying at the Royal College of Music with Professor Carlos Bonell where he has been awarded a scholarship from Sir Alec and the Trustees of the Reed Foundation. As well as performing for the professors at the Royal College of Music, Felix has partaken in masterclasses with world-renowned guitarists Ana Vidovic, John Mills and Craig Ogden. Whilst Felix has a very wide repertoire, he is currently interested in arranging medieval music for the guitar – alongside playing English guitar music from latter half of the 20th century. Felix has competed in several music competitions, winning first prize at the Harrogate Music Festival and the James Etherington competition in Durham. As well as being an accomplished solo artist, Felix has performed the Vivaldi Guitar Concerto in D major with the Durham County Youth Orchestra. Other collaborative projects include his duo with Brioni Crowe forming the Collins&Crowe duet in 2022 and since then have played charity concerts in Durham as well as performing on numerous occasions at the Royal College of Music.
