Make Music Day brings hundreds of musicians and singers together in central London.

In celebration of Make Music Day, hundreds of musicians will come together on Potters Fields Park. On Friday 21st June an enormous wind orchestra and choir will assemble beside the River Thames for a glorious evening of music at a giant scale.

The event will include a brand-new composition from Debbie Wiseman, being performed for the very first time. Debbie is one of the UK’s leading composers and conductors, and also president of Making Music. Alongside our range of classical favourites and popular songs, there will be something for everyone in the programme.

This year the performance will take place in Potters Fields Park, a stunning location on the south side of the River Thames between London Bridge and Tower Bridge. Thanks to support from Team London Bridge and the Potters Fields Park Management Trust, the beautiful green space with incredible views over London will be filled with music.

Event co-ordinator, Adam Funnell, said “our huge event on Make Music Day will bring together hundreds of musicians into a unique ensemble. We want people to dust off their instruments and warm up their voices, especially if they don’t usually perform in a group. Hundreds of musicians performing such a wide range of music, in the stunning riverside location will make for a wonderful evening.”

The event is proudly supported by Team London Bridge, with public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, and assistance from Making Music.
