Artist Gail Seres-Woolfson shares her artwork, inspiration and processes, and leads us through some quick collage and drawing exercises .
Join artist Gail Seres-Woolfson for a creative hour of drawing and collage focused on ‘the self-portrait’. A fun, relaxed and varied session encouraging observation and self-expression.
Gail will introduce some famous self-portraits and multiple ways to make our own! A session for adults but supervised children also welcome.
To join in with the making, the following materials are suggested (but you will be able to adapt the exercises to use what you have):
Very useful:
two or three photographs of you (a print out is ideal, but on a phone is also fine), or a mirror to draw from if you prefer!
pencil, paper, scissors, pritt-stick/glue/tape, magazine/newspapers, markerpens/felt-pens/rollerballs/pencil colours, a sheet of tracing paper or home baking paper
Added extras:
ruler, any coloured/patterned paper scraps you might have/coloured post its, any paints and brushes you might have
