In this wellbeing workshop, we will explore our connections with nature through short, playful drawing activities.
We'll focus on slowing down, re-grounding, noticing the sensory and creating small spaces of calm through art.
Materials:
• plain A4 paper, pens, pencils
• a few small objects with natural forms (ie. leaves, pebbles, shells, fruit, veg, kitchen cupboard objects) - there will be time in the workshop to gather these too
Create ~ Charity of the Year 2020
Create is the UK’s leading charity empowering lives, reducing isolation and enhancing wellbeing through the creative arts. Every Create project is run by a professional, practicing artist (sculptor, actor, writer, film maker, musician). Our focus is on engaging the most marginalised participants in inspiring, sustainable creative arts projects in areas where provision is poor and engagement in the arts is low. We prioritise our work with seven participant groups: young patients; disabled children and adults; young and adult carers; schoolchildren in areas of deprivation; vulnerable older people; young and adult offenders; and marginalised children and adults.
Team London Bridge are delighted to partner with local members and collaborators in order to offer you a range of online events marking Creativity and Wellbeing Week.
Creativity and Wellbeing week is an annual festival set up by London Arts in Health and the Culture, Health and Wellbeing Alliance. The festival started as a small event based in London in 2012 , to coincide with the Olympics, and quickly grew into a national setting; this year’s theme is ‘Care’.
