London Bridge: Looking after your return to work

As many of us adjust to new behaviours and working patterns after July 19th, it is reassuring to know that the London Bridge area provides a great many ways to keep ourselves safe and give us peace of mind. Our world-leading medical institutions have been at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19 and our public services have updated their advice in line with new regulations.

Here are some of the ways you can protect yourself and others from the ongoing threat of COVID-19:

Lateral flow tests on St Thomas Street, between Station entrance and The Shard. Rapid lateral flow tests are for people who do not have symptoms of COVID-19. The tests give a quick result. Many workplaces are advising staff to do these regularly.

If you haven’t yet had your COVID-19 vaccination there is walk-in vaccine clinic at Guy’s Hospital. These are for anyone aged 18 or over. You do not need proof of address, immigration status, ID or an NHS number, just turn up and get your jab.

If you are due to fly somewhere or have just come back, a number of local clinics offer ‘fit to fly’ and ‘release’ tests, including MSI Clinics, City Doc, and HCA (London Bridge Hospital).

For those travelling into the area on public transport, TfL and Network Rail have updated their travel advice to keep us all safe and informed.

You may want to get a flu vaccination booked in early to make sure you’re protected this winter. Boots are offering jabs from mid-September onward.

As ever, all our parks and gardens are open if you’re looking for a spot to meet up in the fresh air.

Stay safe, enjoy the summer and let’s see this through together!
