Local investment through small grants – volunteers needed

Over the past 15 years, Team London Bridge has been investing in the immediate local community through a range of types of grants. We are committed to building links with local groups that benefit Southwark residents, inside and around what has become a vibrant business district.

We appreciate that not everyone has the time or energy to devote to first finding and then funding a good cause that they identify with. This is why we set up the Building Bridges, Building Futures and Building Communities Funds. In this way, every business that contributes to Team London Bridge through the BID levy can be part of a collective Responsible Business policy for the area. Just over 5% of your BID levy contribution goes into these funds, yet the number of local organisations and the Southwark residents that have benefited from this money is enormous.

The Building Bridges Task Group - two places available

We are very grateful to the dedicated task group that is made up of representatives from London Bridge-based business. This group is responsible for steering this area of our work and makes funding decisions at regular meetings throughout the year. We currently have two places available in this task group and the immediate focus will be on the selection process for the current round of grants applications. If you are interested in volunteering your time for half a day this March to help us with that, we would love to hear from you! In return, this experience will give you an oportunity to learn about a range of charities and community groups that deliver impressive work in Southwark and network with like-minded professionals from the area.

☕ Contact Sofia@teamlondonbridge.co.uk for a brief chat to find out more. Deadline 20th March.
