New legal requirement to display QR code posters for NHS test and trace app from 24 September

From Thursday 24 September, businesses and venues that are already required to collect visitor details for test and trace must also by law display NHS QR code posters for visitors using the new NHS app.

The posters will display a unique QR code for your premises, so app users can simply scan the poster to ‘check-in’ for test and trace purposes.

If your business collects test and trace data, please read the FAQs about what is required and use this tool to generate your QR code posters.

Failure to display the posters may result in a fine of £1,000. Businesses can also be fined for failing to request and retain customer details and provide them on request.
