Volunteers needed for the EY Foundation programme

The EY Foundation is gearing up for a busy summer of delivery with multiple programmes taking place across multiple locations. As such we need even greater support from our amazing volunteer network to help deliver our programmes with young people.

Virtual Business Experience Project – Thursday, 29th and Friday 30th July 2021

We have a fantastic upcoming opportunity for volunteers to help deliver a virtual business experience project as part of a Smart Futures programme aimed at supporting talented and aspirational young people aged 16-19 years of age from low income families in Lewisham.

Delivered across 2 days, we are looking for volunteers who are able to deliver a business challenge created by EY Foundation focused around a case study on a fictional business (If you have a real life business challenge, this is welcomed and encouraged!). The case study introduces young people to a fictional drinks business and sets the young people tasks which require them to put forward their ideas on how to support this business.

As a volunteer your role will be to introduce yourself , present the case study , set the young people the related tasks provided and check in with the young people to ensure they are on track with the project. You will also need to provide feedback at the end of day 2 in relation to the work and ideas presented by young people. These are engaging (and fun!) tasks and we find the creativity and ideas of the young people incredible!

Below is a timetable which outlines (in yellow) the time commitment required as a volunteer across the 2 days. All of the young people will have a EY laptop along with an EY email address and they will be able to access the sessions through Microsoft Teams.

If you would prefer to deliver your own business experience project/content instead of the case study provided by EY Foundation this is also welcomed and encouraged!!
