Ugly Duck announce @Disturbance residency Line-Up

 

Ugly Duck is incredibly excited to announce that their experimental artistic residency and development programme @Disturbance has been awarded by Arts Council England. The project champions and supports emerging LGBTQIA+ artists to blend physical and digital elements into their work. Each residency ends with a public performance, showcased live from Ugly Duck and online.

After an extended call out for LGBTQIA+ identifying performance and video artists the jury have selected the following artists:

Gisou Golshani
Joy Yaa Kincaid
Khairullah Rahim
Noam Youngrak Son
Olivia Morrison
Orlando
River Cao
Sandrine Schaefer
Sophie Hoyle
Talia Beale
Yana Bachynska

The residency will take place in November and the shows on the 10th and 11th.

Creative Director and Founder of @Disturbance Deen Atger says “at @Disturbance we find and nurture the next talents of tomorrow. Bold and forward thinking artists deconstructing boundaries and paving the way to totally new aesthetics. Each year Disturbance gets bigger and we’re excited to welcome new artists into our growing network.”

As feedback from previous events stated “creativity of each artist is the focus of the sharing and that transcends identity.”
