City of London Sinfonia Looking for Rehearsal Space in SE1
City of London Sinfonia are looking for a regular rehearsal space in SE1.
Orchestras using alternative spaces such as schools, office spaces and care homes are becoming more and more popular, presenting opportunities for all organisations involved to benefit from the partnership.
Who we are:
A chamber orchestra based in Bermondsey who performs across London (St Paul's Cathedral, Opera Holland Park), the UK and internationally. We also have a participation programme that focuses on health and wellbeing, particularly in psychiatric hospital schools, care homes and children's hospital schools. We've been part of Team London Bridge's Medi-Culture Festival presenting Mindful Music concerts.
What we need:
We're looking for a rehearsal space for our chamber orchestra. At full force, we are a group of 40 musicians, but the majority of our rehearsals are for 20 to 25 musicians or smaller ensembles of four to eight players.
Examples of orchestras in alternative rehearsal spaces:
Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment & Acland Burghley School
Orchestras can also adapt to working in many places, like car parks
